MUMBAI : Well-known TV actor of Udaariyaan fame has been catching everyone’s attention for his role in the show, as well for recently being a part of the reality show - Bigg Boss. Post his eviction from the Bigg Boss house, he has signed on for a new project called Junooniyatt. Recently in an interview, Ankit got candid and shared about his casting couch experience where he was asked to compromise himself.
The actor opened up about the strange advice that he received when he was starting his career. He even stated how he was told that even big actors would compromise for big roles. In the interview Ankit shared, “Yaha to compromise karna padta hai. A lot of people, who wanted me to compromise, used to say 'See Ankit aise toh kaam milta nahi hai industry mein. We have launched several people'. They used to take names of biggies, stating that the celebs were launched by him.”
He termed the casting couch as the 'worst experience of his life' and further said, “I said no- I am not into guys and even if I am, I cannot do this. It was my worst experience. Okay, it is getting adult now. Someone said, 'Okay, you don't want to do it but at least let me touch it. Upar se hi hai'. I was shocked and said to myself 'What is happening?'.”
Workwise, Ankit began his Television career in 2012 with the show ‘Balika Vadhu’ and later essayed roles in shows like 'Sadda Haq', 'Begusarai', 'Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi', 'Mayavi Maling', 'Kundali Bhagya', 'Illegal – Justice', 'Out of Order', 'Bekaboo 2', and 'Main Hero Boll Raha Hu'. He will next be seen in the drama 'Junooniyatt' where he will play the lead role of Jahaan. It is set to release on 13th February and will play at 9:30 pm.
