Nyrraa, you’ve received a lot of praise for your role in Khakee: The Bengal Chapter. Tell us what drew you to the project.

Khakee Season 1 was a huge success, and I was absolutely thrilled to be a part of such a powerful brand. I know that people often associate me with a glamorous image, so this role might have come as a surprise to many. But that’s exactly why I wanted to do it. The role was bold, intense, and quite unlike anything I’ve done before. It was challenging, yes—but I enjoy pushing boundaries. At the end of the day, what matters most to me is the substance of the character. Plus, I had the opportunity to work with some truly amazing people on set, which made the experience even more rewarding.

Has Bigg Boss changed the trajectory of your career in any way? Has it impacted the kind of roles or offers that come your way?

“To be honest, I don’t think my image changed much after Bigg Boss. What you saw on the show was the real me there was no facade, and I stayed true to who I am throughout. So, in that sense, there was no drastic shift. If you look at my past projects, you’ll notice that out of five or six, three or four would usually be music videos. That trend didn’t continue this year not because of Bigg Boss, but simply due to timing or availability. Offers came in, but I couldn’t take them up. So overall, I wouldn’t say the show brought about a massive difference in terms of opportunities.

There’s no denying that Nyrraa M Banerji’s performance in Khakee: The Bengal Chapter left a lasting impression, earning her acclaim from both critics and audiences alike. Her fearless approach to roles, coupled with her authenticity, continues to set her apart in the industry.
