Neela Telefilms’ Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah on SAB TV has played host to many celebrity guests in the past. Names like Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, John Abraham, Darsheel Safary, Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan have featured in this sitcom. But recently, the cast and crew of Taarak Mehta played hosts to some special guests.
It so happened that an NGO named Hitech Family Enrichment Foundation, Vile Parle, contacted Bhavya Gandhi who essays the role of Tappu. “They wanted to know if the kids from the organization can come and visit the sets. And my production house was more than happy to welcome them,“ reveals Bhavya.
The special kids, from this NGO owned by Anil Shukla, visited the sets yesterday, 20 December 2011; and enjoyed themselves a lot and even got themselves clicked with their favorite actors. In fact, throughout their stay, they called the stars by their screen names. And Bhavya too enjoyed himself and found the kids very nice. “It was fun being around them, and their love means a lot,” beams Bhavya.
Interestingly, amongst the children who came on sets was a girl who was standing aloof. Disha Vakani (Daya Jethalal Gada) was curious to know the reason. That’s when the girl’s mother came up to Disha and said the girl wanted talk to every actor individually. And everyone from the team obliged. “She said that she loves the show and never misses it. It meant a lot what that little child told me,” says Disha on her conversation with the girl.
Actor Mandar Chandwadkar who plays Aatmaram Bhide was amazed by the way these special guests live their lives, “It feels great that we are touching their lives with our show. I just wish we continue doing the good deeds.”
Keep up the good work!!!
