Read on to take a note of the telly actors who have portrayed and nailed the role of the iconic Indian mythological figure - 'Lord Krishna' on the small-screen...

MUMBAI: The television industry has played a big role in glorifying the virtue of Indian culture through the majority of it's shows that are aired through the main entertainment TV channels and through popular TV series.

The classic feature of most of these series is how their plot is highly influenced by the legendary Indian mythological stories and epic dramas like 'Ramayana' and 'Mahabharata', such that the high-voltage dramatic incidents of those drag along references from these age-old stories in order to stress on the fact that no matter what situation shows up, goodness will always triumph over evil!

Talking about mythological shows, we have witnessed the portrayal of iconic mythological characters on the small-screen for ages now and references on the same have been drawn from Mahabharata, Ramayana and other local folklores to hype-up the spirit of creativity.

Out of all the known characters, there's this prominent infatuation and inclination which the TV and the entertainment industry at large has towards the 8th incarnation of Lord Vishnu - Lord Krishna and the existence of numerous Hindi movies and TV serials depicting the fore-mentioned mythological character's life-story are the living evidence of the same!

It does seem like owing to Lord Krishna's personality, as per the written historic texts and scriptures, there won't be any cease to his character's portrayal's hype and also, owing to the fact that Indians are very religious at large and are particular in following the stories of such demi-gods, whom many of them still aspire to witness in-person, atleast once in their lifetime.
