1. Sudha Chandran as Ramola Sikand

Telly actress Sudha Chandran played the role of 'Ramola Sikand' in Kahiin Kisi Roz, who was a criminal character disguised as a 'sasuma' and wanted to kill the main lead (female protagonist who was her daughter-in-law) till the show's end. 

2. Meghana Malik as Ammaji 

Meghana Malik played the role of 'Ammaji', who was one of the most cruel on-screen personalities for being a blind-folded chauvinist lady who was narrow-minded, insensitive and an absolute devil. She was against all women being a woman herself.

3. Surekha Sikri as Kalyani Devi

Actress Surekha played the role of 'Kalyani Devi' in Balika Vadhu and gave full justice to the character by troubling her young granddaughter-in-law named 'Anandi', who her grandson had got married to. 

4. Rupal Patel as Kokila Parag Modi

Rupal Patel used to play the character of 'Kokila Parag Modi' in Saath Nibhana Saathiya as the helpful and caring mother-in-law of the show's female protagonist - Gopi Modi. However, she used to belittle her niece-in-law. However, her character was never villainous, rather she was a bold lady who fought all odds on her own terms who always guided her daughter-in-law through her hardships and was a lady of her words and principles. She garnered immense popularity for her long and fancy bindis as well as her vibrant sarees which she wore to enhance her character.  

5. Sudha Chandran as Yamini Singh

Sudha Chandran plays the role of 'Yamini Singh' in Naagin. In the beginning, she portrayed herself as a good mother-in-law before her daughter-in-law, but was filled with evil intentions.

6. Suhasini Mulay as Iravati

Iravati's character from Piya Ka Ghar was played by actress Suhasini Mulay, who doesn’t accept her son’s wife who hails from a poor family. Iravati was determined to make her daughter-in-law’s life a living hell.

7. Narayani Shastri as Bhanvari Devi Singh

Bhanvari Devi Singh's character from Piya Rangrezzz was a rustic don who was played by actress Narayani Shastri. Her dominating role gave her full-on control-access over her son. She even dirty played tricks to rift her son and daughter-in-law apart. 

8. Tannaz Irani as Rajeshwari Singh Rajawat (aka Rani Sa)

In the currently running serial Apna Time Bhi Aayega, actress Tannaz Irani played the role of Rajeshwari Singh Rajawat, who is a social-status oriented female head of the royal mansion and could never accept their mansion's ordinary worker as the royal family's daughter-in-law. However, the impossible did happen lately with Rajeshwari showering her blessings on her daughter-in-law 'Rani'.    

9. Apara Mehta as Savita Mansukh Virani

Ekta Kapoor's most-popular Hindi soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi's male protagonist Mihir's mother Savita's character was played by actress Apara Mehta, who was initially a hateful mother-in-law towards the show's female protagonist and her unlikely daughter-in-law Tulsi. She had even planned ideas of ousting Tulsi from their house till she gave up her separation pursuit and accepted the latter whole-heartedly.

10. Shubhaavi Choksey as Mohini Basu 

Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2.0's tyrant mother-in-law's character was played by tellyfame Shubhaavi Choksey. Mohini always despised the show's female protagonist Prerna Sharma and her entire family only because they belonged from the lower-social strata and forever objected to her son's alliance with her. She had even teamed up with the main villain Komolika to oust Prerna from Anurag's (her son) life for good.
