MUMBAI: Produced by Sony Entertainment Television, CID is one of the longest-running crime television shows in India. It was created by B. P. Singh ran from 1998 to 2018, enthralling viewers with its unique characters and gripping crime-solving plotlines.
With prominent characters like Senior Inspector Abhijeet (Aditya Srivastava) and Daya (Dayanand Shetty), the show followed the Crime Investigation Department team under the leadership of ACP Pradyuman (Shivaji Satam). In addition to its reputation for gripping narratives, CID gained notoriety for its catchphrases, such as the well-known "Kuch toh gadbad hai" by ACP Pradyuman. The creators of CID revealed the second installment of the well-liked show after keeping their fans guessing for a while.
A video that hinted at the comeback of the main cast, which included Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Daya Shetty, was posted on Sony TV's official Instagram page.
Shivaji Satam's nervous ACP Pradyuman races toward the bomb location in the teaser. The show's theme's recognizable whistle is playing in the background as Abhijeet faces the camera. The caption said, "Mark your calendars - 26th October ko hoga ek dhamakedar promo drop! (sic)."
