Deepak Wadhwa roped in as parallel lead in Naagin 3 post leap

MUMBAI: Colors’s Naagin 3 will wrap up next month. Post the IPL, the show will go off air and another supernatural series by the same production house will take over the slot. Producer of the show, Ekta Kapoor, who is a master at keeping the audience engaged, has a terrific plot for the climax. But before that happens, the show will take a 20-year leap, and another parallel lead will join the cast.

The new entry will be Deepak Wadhwa, who played the male lead in the TV show Tamanna, featured in Qubool Hai, and made a cameo appearance in Divya Drashti recently. Deepak will essay the role of Pearl Puri’s elder brother, and his character will have some negative shades.

The actor is unperturbed about the fact that his journey on Naagin 3 will be short-lived, as the show is ending next month. While talking to Bombay Times, the actor said, 'It’s a good role and I am being paid handsomely. I can’t keep waiting for a project in which I get to play the lead role. My resolution for the year is to be seen more to get more work, but without compromising on my fee. I believe that out of sight is out of mind. I haven’t got what I am worth, but it’s just a matter of time. One good break will change it all for me.'
