Devdatta Nage is connected to Tanaji Malusare in many ways

The historical character of Shivaji Maharaj is looked upon by many people. Being associated with a show based on this Maratha warrior is something to be proud of. And Devdatta Nage is feeling just the same. In fact, he is also happy that he plays the character of Tanaji Malusare, who was a great supporter of Shivaji in Colors’ Veer Shivaji. Prior to this show, he was seen in Laagi Tujhse Lagan on Colors.

“Being part of a show like Veer Shivaji is a matter of respect for every Maharashtrian and so is the case with me,” says the proud actor. But there is something that makes his association with this historical saga even more special. “I have always been connected with Tanaji and we have many things in common.” The actor’s birth date is 5 February which happened to be a Saturday, somewhere around 3 to 5 am. Incidentally, Tanaji died on the same date, same time and same day. “The only difference will be the year in which these events took place,” says Devdatta. But the connection between this TV actor and historical character doesn’t end here. Tanaji was known for his rock and fort climbing skills; Devdatta had been a trainer in rock climbing and river rafting during his college days. Apart from that, this actor stays in Alibaug which belongs to Raigad district, which was the first capital of Shivaji. Hmm…It looks like Devdatta was destined to play this role. We hope that he becomes as popular as the character he is essaying.
