Dil Se Naachein Indiawaale winner Priyanka
Having finally managed to clinch the trophy, Priyanka Mydeo is yet to come in terms of her victory in Dil Se Naachein Indiawaale (Esselvision Productions). Tellychakkar.com caught with the girl post her win and spoke at length about her journey in the show. “I had no idea that I will ever win the show. I guess I did not even have time to think much about it. Dance is my only form of expression and I just wanted to have fun in the show and so did I. It was one of the most exciting experiences of my life and I really had a whale of time,” quipps the girl. Talking about her association with dance, Priyanka shares, “I am basically from Pune and shifted to Mumbai 13 years back. Although dance has always held an important part in my life I joined Shiamak Davar and Terence Lewis classes here. As I was working with an IT company my life had started moving away from dance, when this offer came my way and I lapped it up. Also I had met my partners Vipul and Gaurav during some audition and we teamed up for this show and the result is here for all to see.” Since the girl is trained in dancing, we wondered if that helped her win the show. “This show was about bringing people together who could enjoy dance and we surely fit the bill. Although I might be trained, but the love and passion I have for dance is only because I enjoy it.” How was it to have the cast of Happy New Year on the show? “Oh that was an amazing experience. The actors gave us so many compliments that boosted up our confidence a lot. When I had performed on Lovely, Deepika (Padukone) told me that I had performed better than her and that I should have been in her place. Also Abhishek (Bachchan) and Shah Rukh Khan were brilliant on the show.” When asked which was her personal favourite performance in the show, Priyanka said, “The finale performance where we performed in the Ganpati song is surely my favourite.” Who did she think had a chance to win apart from her? “I think Arvind dance group was surely a tough competition, since they were many in numbers, the energy level was surely high. Also they too enjoyed their dance and that made them a tough opposition.” And lastly what plans does she have ahead? “I did take a break from dance, but now I will push myself to be in the sphere. I am also planning to start my own dance academi in Pune. Also having faced camera I think I have got a hang of it and would hopefully get into acting soon.” Way to go girl!
