Disha and Sonia in contention to play the lead in Ek Tha Raja...

Disha Parmar and Sonia Balani

Tellychakkar.com had earlier informed readers about Sarrtaj Gill being approached to play the lead in Zee TV’s Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani. Now we have been informed that the Begusarai fame actor has been confirmed by the makers as the ‘Raja’, post leap.

Coming to the ‘Rani’, Zee TV and Sphereorigins have short-listed two popular beauties as their new leads.

Wondering who?

Credible sources have informed Tellychakkar.com that Disha Parmar (Pyaar Ka Dard) and Sonia Balani (Tu Mera Hero) have been selected as the final contenders after rigorous auditions and screen tests.

Shared a source, “The production house is keen on these two talented actors who also have a great fan following. Though Disha and Sonia both have performed excellently in the auditions, Sonia seems to have a better chance to bag the coveted role. The character of Rani will be a positive one, on the likes of her mother, Gayatri (Drashti Dhami).”

Sarrtaj on the other hand will play the rebellious son of Kaal (Chetan Hansraj).

As per sources , the official announcement of the female lead will be done by next week.

We tried reaching out to Disha and Sonia but they did not revert to our calls and messages till the time of filing the story.

Our efforts to reach the producer and the channel spokesperson also remained futile.
