A double whammy for Kamalika as she enters Sarvagun Sampann and Bitto

It is good news for Kamalika’s fans as she is soon to be seen in two shows. The actress will enter Balaji's Sarvagun Sampann and Contiloe’s Bitto. Kamalika Guha Thakurta who has earlier worked with Balaji in one of the longest TV soaps Kyunki Saas bhi kabhi bahu thi as Gayatri Chachi has now been signed on to play the role of a politician. Kamalika confirmed the news and said, “Yes, I play a politician who supports the protagonist, who has been thrown out of her sasural. I play the character of a woman who fights for other women’s rights. She cannot see injustice being done to them. In this particular show Swara is thrown out of her house as her in-laws come to know about her dancing background. I go to her defense and explain to her in-laws that there is nothing wrong in being an artist.” When asked if her role would be a cameo she said, “No it is not a cameo.” She was recently seen in a cameo in Uttaran where she played a doctor. Kamalika will enter the show either tonight or in tomorrow’s episode. It is also buzzed Kamalika will also be a part of Bitto on Sahara One but the actress claimed it was too early to comment on it. Meanwhile rumours have it that the show may go off-air next month.
