Remember Ekta Tiwari? Yes, she is the talented actress, who hit the headlines for filing a molestation complaint against her driver in July, 2011. Well, we are not investigating on the issue and this story is not about her harrowing experience. This is about Ekta getting nostalgic as her show Tere Mere Sapne on Star Plus is all set to draw curtains on 16 December 2011. “I am not the only one who is sad. Everyone’s who is associated with the show is sad. I wonder if we can ever meet again,” says Ekta to Tellychakkar.com. However, she is quite proud of the fact that at a time when daily soaps struggle to last for six months, Tere Mere Sapne entertained TV fans for two and a half years. “I guess the characterization and the way the story was narrated made all the difference. Now everywhere I go, people identify me as Radha (her character name),” smiles the hottie. Furthermore, Ekta said that she was “pained” by the fact that the show was shifted to the afternoon slot in spite of gaining 2.9 TVR in the night slot. “I guess there was a contract between the production house (Sphere Origins) and the channel to run the show for some months on the afternoon slot before taking it off,” believes the actress, but she is also happy with the fact that the show is ending on a positive note. “Furthermore, we are still getting decent numbers.” The beautiful lady also went on to thank the production house for being kind enough and supporting her during one of her most troubled times. “My father passed away suddenly and they allowed me to take leave for 20 days. They brought in necessary track changes. And not only that, once when I fell ill, they gave me leisure time to relax at home. The gesture is quite a rarity in the TV industry.” Finally, Ekta signs off by sharing her future plans. “I am looking forward to some more lead roles. Even if I get a parallel lead which is interesting and adds value to the main plot, then I shall accept it. I am also up for dance, comedy or adventure based reality shows, but not something like Bigg Boss. I can’t relate to the mess that goes in that house. You don’t really know who is telling the truth and who is not?” Hmm…now you have heard it, producers. Ekta is up for a lot of interesting things on TV. So pick up your phones and call her up!!!
