MUMBAI: Talented actor Gaurav S Bajaj has been entertaining the masses by playing varied roles across shows. He is now playing the lead role of Zoravar in Colors’ Choti Sarrdaarni.
On the personal front, Gaurav is happily married to Sakshi Shhorwani. The couple became parents as they welcomed a baby boy on 11 December 2019.
In a conversation with TellyChakkar, Gaurav shared a few interesting tidbits. He said that his son waits for him to come home post the shoot and spend time with him.
He said, “It was a very different feeling for me when my son used to come back home and my shoot timings used to clash with that. Luckily, I was fortunate that when my son was growing up, I was into music videos, so he was aware about my responsibilities and my job. On weekends, he has holidays, but I don't, the good part is that he understands the situation quite well. I prefer being happy and following my duties rather than cribbing about it.”
When asked how he is as a father, he replied, “I'm very different person as a father. I'm watching my son grow up so quickly. Understanding his perspective has made me feel more responsible. I change as per the situation with him. If we're having fun, we only have fun. I don't have to shout at him. He understands when he has to stop. As a father, I have my own phases.”
Talking about taking a break from TV, he shared, “Well, the break got extended as the pandemic happened. However, I am glad as I got to be with my son and witnessed him growing. As an actor, I would have never gotten this opportunity. But now, I am balancing work and personal life.”
Choti Sarrdaarni, which is among the most popular shows on TV, has started with a new chapter with Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia and Mahir Pandhi quitting the show. The show stars Amandeep Sidhu in the lead role opposite Gaurav.
It is produced by Rajesh Ram Singh, Pradeep Kumar, Piya Bajpayee, and Shaika Parween under the banner of Cockcrow and Shaika Entertainment.
Good luck, Gaurav!
