MUMBAI: Zindagi Mere Ghar Aana's actor Ishaan Dhawan is all set to come in a different avatar for the fans with Gud Se Meetha Ishq on Star Bharat. A fresh love story from the frosting hills of Northern India is all set to warm your hearts for sure.

What was the reason behind you agreeing to the show? 

This is just the beginning of my career and after doing Zindagi Mere Ghar Aana, I had this thing in my head that I want to do shows with good channels only. I was giving auditions and was keen on doing something associated with Star. Apart from that yes the story did touch my heart. I did a few auditions that had costume drama, or I had to experiment with my look as you know getting Typecast on Television is really quick these days. So I was keen on doing more romantic dramas and Gud Se Meetha Ishq fit all the boxes. 

As the show is loosely inspired by Barfi, what can the fans expect? 

Usually, it is difficult to make the audience understand the concept so to make them understand it was mentioned that it has vague similarities. If I were to tell you then it isn't Barfi, the story is quite different and has its own narrative. So it may be similar but it isn't really inspired by the film. 

We recently came to know about Esha's engagement; are you planning to attend the wedding? 

We have met him on the set, he is wonderful. He is a gem of a person and I am really happy for her. I wish I could go to the wedding but I am still not sure how are we planning to attend. I was the first one to plan on going to the wedding so I am still not sure if I shall be attending but I am really happy about it. Shaadi is always the one place where even if you try to control your diet you would end up having all the delicacies.
