MUMBAI: Actress Shikha Singh, who became popular with her role of Aliya in Kumkum Bhagya, has taken a break from the entertainment industry after giving birth to a baby girl in June 2020.

However, the actress made a comeback with a bang by playing a cop in Colors’ Naagin 6. It was a cameo, and the actress has already wrapped up shooting for the same.

We asked Shikha how it was facing the camera after a break, and she replied, “I didn't realise how badly I was missing my work. I made a comeback with Balaji, and the crew is great. It's nice, and I'm enjoying it. I haven't taken any long-running shows now, but I can't wait to start again.”

Shikha revealed that she wished to become an IPS officer. She shared, “I really enjoyed playing a cop in the show because I wanted to be a police officer in real life. But life took a turn, and I became an actor. I'm enjoying it though.”

How was it shooting with team Naagin? “I love shooting with the cast. Everyone is really sweet. They are all great in their own spaces. It also motivates me when my co-actors perform so well.”

What kind of work are you looking forward to? “I'm not fixated on something. If I like the character and the script, I'll take it up. As an actor, you shouldn't limit yourself. I have no issues with positive or negative roles. It should leave a mark even if it's a cameo.”

Good luck Shikha!

Stay tuned for more news from the entertainment industry.
