MUMBAI: Sony TV has some amazing line-up of shows in the upcoming months.
A few days back, the channel saw a new show hitting the small screens which is Kaamnaa.
And now, the channel is gearing up for another show titled Dhadkan which is a medical drama.
Dhadkan has an amazing bunch of actors like Additi Gupta, Rohit Purohit, Ashwin Mushran, Vidyut Xavier, Kaushik Chakravorty, among others.
TellyChakkar got in touch with actor Vidyut who plays the role of a doctor in the show.
How has been your experience so far shooting for the show?
I had a lovely experience and it is fabulous shooting for it. It is not something that different for me as I started my career as an assistant director and an assistant choreographer in films before. The show is not a typical daily soap. It's on the lines of how we shoot a web series or a movie. The performances are natural and not dramatised. For me, it's been a usual self. I have hardly done television shows like I did Mahabharat which was completely different from this one. I did 24 season 2 and that was different as well. This is my first full-fledged daily soap. I am happy working for this show.
How challenging has it been?
Honestly, this is not at all challenging for me, it is very natural for me. Doing something subtle is quite easy for me as that's how I have learnt acting and seen people perform. I have seen Salman Khan in front of me while performing. I belong to a theatre background. I was in Ansh Theatre Group when I was 16 for five years. All this was quite easy and natural for me. If I am told to do drama, it becomes difficult. For me, playing Karna in Mahabharat was difficult.
Are you able to relate to your character?
The funny part about my character is that almost 90% of Dr Abhay Saathey is me in real life. It becomes easy to do that role. Nilanjana Ma'am who locked me for this role said that this is me and showed confidence in me. I would like to thank Janet Ma'am and Herum sir who cast me for this show. Mr Jagrut Mehta was our creative director and he gave me this opportunity. The casting has been apt in the show as everyone who is locked for the role is perfect.
Well, Vidyut has given us some interesting insights about his character in the show and we can't wait to see him on-screen.
Dhadkan Zindagii Kii is all set to hit the small screens from 6th December onwards.
