TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor to talk about her character, the new show, and what made her choose the role. While on the subject, when asked if fans would be able to see her in the OTT space, especially after she’s chosen a TV show, she said, “ Very honestly, this is the game you can play simultaneously. I don’t think you have to choose an either and or. If you are done with the show and been offered a web show, you can take that up easily as well. Also, because in web, you don’t have to give 2-3 years, you have to give the time of 15 to 20 days stretching up maximum to a month and you are done. So, I personally don’t think that it is something that you have to choose. If it’s been offered to you and you feel that the project is right, you take it”.
Gurpreet also spoke about being stereotyped in an earlier interview with us, she said “I personally feel that being stereotyped is very easy and especially with the way I am and the way I look. I have been put into a ceratin category many a times. It can be difficult to break that or to try something new can also be very challenging. Because of the audiences' acceptance, you think twice or thrice before picking a role.”
Her new show Dharampatni airs on Colors and stars Fahmaan Khan, Kritika Yadav and Akash Jagga in lead roles.
