MUMBAI : Tellychakkar recently got in touch with the actor and got to know interesting insights.
Yashu Dhiman is known for Chann: Harjit Harman (2013) and Aladdin - Naam Toh Suna Hoga (2018).
She is currently a part of Dangal TV’s mythological show Jai Hanumaan - Sankat Mochan Naam Tiharo playing the role of Sughreek’s wife.
Tellychakkar recently got in touch with the actor and got to know interesting insights.
How does it feel working in a mythological show?
“I was a part of the show Shree Krishna in which I played Radha’s mother. It feels amazing to be a part of a mythological show. It is very challenging and they experiment with your look as well. It gives a chance to try something new. Otherwise, you don’t get to experiment with your looks that much. In mythological shows, your looks keep changing. There are so many accessories you pair with your look and it all looks amazing. You also need to be very careful with it all as once I had got hurt on my waist because of an accessory I was wearing. You can’t even sleep during breaks because the costume is so heavy and full of accessories. But it all feels good.”

How do you prepare for your role?
“I have done back to back mythological shows so I have gotten the hang of it. I find it quite easy at this point now. I don’t find it new anymore because I have been doing it for quite some time. It feels like my comfort zone now. I also fear that I might get type casted for such roles.”
You have been doing mythological for so long now. What else do you wish to explore?
“I wish to explore web shows. I don’t have a set type of role I want. I just want something that will offer me something to learn. Earlier, I had the mindset that I need to do only positive roles because I have a positive look but I have changed my mindset now. I feel I should try a negative role as well because you get to do a lot of variations in that as well.”
