MUMBAI: Mira Royal Detective' is a show that showcases Indian culture, etiquettes, manners, customs and other aspects in a detailed format. A great platform for kids to consume and understand the ethics of the country through fun and exciting content. The kids will be able to relate to India and the show by witnessing the adventures of Mira, a young girl detective, who is a resourceful commoner and sets out on mystery-solving adventures along with her friend Prince Neel, creative cousin Priya, and comical mongoose sidekicks Mikku and Chikku in the imaginative land of ‘Jalpur’.
Freida, who will be seen voicing the character of Queen Shanti is extremely thrilled to have been a part of this show. Sharing her thoughts and expectations Freida says, “I hope they come into it just feeling entertained and if children have a classroom full of students and they see someone who doesn’t look like them, they'll be more accepting of them because they've seen them on television and they know they have the right to be leaders and heroes and detectives and queens and all of it. So I think it's just kind of familiarizing the younger generation with people of different cultures and diverse backgrounds.”
It will be amazing to watch a show that gives the world a different lens to view on. Filled with adventure, music and lots and lots of colour, the show will be a magical ride. The show will also see actors like Kal Penn, Leela Ladnier, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Hannah Simone, Jameela Jamil, Aparna Nancherla, Aasif Mandvi, Karan Soni, Maulik Pancholy, Sarayu Blue and Sarita Choudhury, along with Freida Pinto giving their voices to different characters.
The show premiered on FRIDAY, MARCH 20 (11:00 a.m. EDT/PDT on Disney Channel and 7:00 p.m. EDT/PDT on Disney Junior) in USA. Disney Channel India also did a joint premiere, to give a sneak-peek that same day, followed by the entire series premiering on Sunday, March 22.
