 Avik

Kolkata: Avik, who is currently seen in the Bengali soap Jaahanara, says that he believes in watching good movies from which he can learn something.

Avik is essaying the role of Ashraf Khan in the serial. His character has many shades. Before becoming an actor, he was into modeling, and Jaahanara is not his first acting project.

The actor shared, ‘I have been modeling since 2004. Then I developed an interest in acting. I was part of a few projects also, but somehow they did not work.’

On learning from movies, Avik said, ‘At a young age, I started watching a lot of world movies. I also used to watch a lot of black-and-white Bengali films. I believe in watching good movies from which I can learn something. Actually, unlike Western countries, our city of Kolkata or our country does not have an academy that teaches everything (about acting). So, this is my mode of learning.’

Jaahanara airs on Colors Bangla.
