Hungama has its Hero

The kids channel Hungama has launched its new show Hero on 30 May. This is a show, where the protagonist is a special child and the trials and tribulations that this simple child has to go through. This daily slotted for 7.30 pm, focuses on relationships with the mother, the brother, friends and foes, until one day Godess Durga gives him powers to become a super Hero, with which he can use for others. Sumeet Pathak who played the young Shahrukh in Baazigar plays Joy in Hero. He remarks, "I was delighted for having been offered this role. It is fun to be with the rest of the kids and the kind of input we get from them is awesome. I have worked in films, but this is a wholesome experience in itself. As at the same time, I am playing a matured guy and a kid." Director, Waseem Sabir, exclaims "It's a story of a simple boy who might live next door. It primarily caters to the kids, but there would be a point where one relates to it. On the sets of the show, we keep getting ideas from the cast who is involved and hence we change the script accordingly." There are other interesting characters too in this show. It will have a Sushmita like figure in the form of a teacher over whom and the guys go gaga and a Principal who is akin to a colonel. So catch the hero in live action. In addition to this they have also announced a competition where children could become a part of the show.
