I always wanted justice for Sushant: Sanjay Gandhi

MUMBAI: Actor Sanjay Gandhi has applauded the recent move of CBI taking up the Sushant Singh Rajput case. He says when he first heard the news he couldn't believe that the "Kai Po Che!" actor can commit suicide and always wanted justice for him.  Sanjay shared that he had met the late actor a couple of times and called him a brilliant educated man.

"I have met Sushant a couple of times and I just couldn't believe that he can commit suicide. He was a top Television star when he was doing 'Pavitra Rishta', and when he decided to switch to Bollywood, during that time I have met him a couple of times. He used to come to meet Mukesh Chhabra, who used to work from Anurag Kashyap's office at that time, so through him, I met him. He was such a brilliant and educated man. Since day one I couldn't believe that a person like him can commit suicide," he said.

Talking about the CBI getting a nod to further investigate the case, the "Black Friday" actor said, "Now things are happening and we will get more clarity about the case. And if it's a murder, then the culprit should be punished, he should be behind the bars, whoever he is or she is or they are. They should be severely punished. I always wanted justice for Sushant and I am very happy that CBI has taken up the case now and I hope the facts will come out, and I want things to be in favour of Sushant and his family. Because if they were not happy with the investigation and we're demanding a CBI enquiry it should have been granted in the first place. I am just hoping for him to get justice now."
