A page from the personal diary of Shoaib Ibrahim Hello everyone! This is Shoaib Ibrahim who you all know as Prem from Colors’ ongoing show Sasural Simar Ka. To start with a little bit about myself, I am born and raised in Bhopal, MP where my parents and younger sister stay. I completed my graduation from the city-based college in computer science engineering. Later, I shifted to Mumbai and it’s been three years now that I am enjoying my stay here. Now, a bit about my career. Well, from my childhood my mother was very keen to see me on television. In 2005, I started giving my auditions in Bhopal and later came to know that an audition was happening for Imagine TV’s upcoming show. Thinking of giving it a try, I appeared for the audition. Nearly one and half months later, I received a call informing that I was selected for the show. Overly excited, I came down to Mumbai. I still remember it was the month of July in the year 2009. That’s how I got my first role as Karan in Rashmi Sharma Telefilms’ Rehna Hai Teri Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein. After the show ended, I went back to my hometown to meet my parents whom I was missing for a long time. Later, I again got a call from Rashmi Sharma Telefilms to come down for an audition for their new show. Accordingly, came here and gave the audition and got the role of Prem. My journey till now has been fruitful and I am lucky that I never had to struggle much. For my success, I give the entire credit to my mom who has been very supportive of me. In terms of my career, I believe that I have still a long way to go. I want to explore myself as an actor by trying to do different types of roles. Someday, I also wish to be on the big screen. On the personal front, I am very much single and I am enjoying my singlehood phase. I will get married to a girl who my parents will choose as I believe in the institution of arranged marriage. Well, talking about my hobbies, I like to play cricket, also like to dance and love to sleep too. In my free time, I always make sure to interact with my fans on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. So this was my journey in short. A big thanks to all my fans for heaping love on me; hope you keep loving me always!!!
