Small screen actor Eijaz Khan is apparently nurturing a broken-heart, post his separation from Italian soprano singer Natalie Di Luccio, a leading daily has reported.
The good-looking actor, who’s been a part of many Bollywood movies and TV projects, was apparently so upset over it that he had to seek therapy to come out of the painful phase, the daily added.
In a candid bare-it-all with the site, he said, "After she left, I was very disturbed to the point of not wanting to live anymore. I would lock myself up in my room for days on end. As actors, we are emotionally fragile. On top of that, we men are expected to be macho and strong, no matter how broken we are inside."
The site further added that due to his troubled childhood because of his parents’ separation and his career that failed to take off post the initial burst of success launched him to depression and distress.
He told the site, “I had to undergo therapy for depression, and it made me realise that I was superimposing my childhood memories to play the part. I also realised that all my issues are deeply rooted in my childhood. I had unresolved issues with my parents after they parted ways.”
While elaborating on his break-up, he stated, “I never loved anybody like I loved her — like a child, my equal, a friend, travel partner. I don't think it was right for me to expect Natalie to give her precious time to our relationship. I would have also advised her to focus on her career if I were her family. I am the only person who knows the real Natalie.”
While he hasn’t dismissed the idea of love completely, he’s said to be wary of it now. He added to the site, “I can't go through the trauma of losing someone again.”
Here’s wishing him loads of love, success, and happiness this year.
