I hate the talk that television typecast you: Ridheema Tiwari

Ridheema Tiwari
Guest Editor at Tellychakkar.com, the beautiful and gorgeous Shruti Ulfat got in conversation with her dear friend Ridheema Tiwari, renowned for her vampish role Sandhya in Sony Entertainment Television’s Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage. Excerpts: So how is life? “All good. I am a very fun-loving and positive kind of a person and like to be around positive-minded people. I am also very religious and believe that hard work is bigger than Karma. Life has never been better; I believe in dreaming big and all that I had dreamt of till now seems to have been fulfilled by the Almighty,” Ridheema answers. What kind of roles would you like to play in the future? “I, for one, want variety in my roles every time and want to do different kinds of stuff. I hate the talk that television typecasts you. One of my co-actors had once said that being typecast is good because you keep working in that particular zone, but by the end of the day, if one is visible and honest towards work and gives 100 per cent, then everyday becomes a challenging one,” the actress avers. Your take on reality shows like Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa and Bigg Boss? “I would love to do dance reality shows as I enjoy dancing. So, someday I would love to participate in Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa. Talking about Bigg Boss, I like to keep my professional and personal life on a different plain. So, it’s a strict ‘no’,” she maintains. Any actor from the current lot, whom you would like to work with? “(giggles) I would want to work with Neelu Kohli, Meghna Malik and Pratima Kannan again. They love and support me a lot. I have learnt a lot from them,” says Ridheema. How has your journey been till date? “If I look back, then from the time I have started my journey, I have gone through a lot of struggle. But I am very optimistic and have a long way to go. I want to prove myself and will never stop working till my last gasp. I wish someday someone would cast me as a lead in a show,” she hopes. Your favourite director? “It has to be Anurag Kashyup and Anurag Basu, they not only entertain but bring out the real things of life in their films. I love the subject they tap and look forward to watch their movies,” she observes. On the personal front, how do you unwind yourself? “I like to go to a spa and pamper myself. I like to watch movies and hangout with my friends,” she quips. What about cooking? “I cook, but whenever I feel like,” she answers. You have always been stylish and well-dressed. So, what is your fashion mantra? “Fashion, for me, is all about comfort. I always make it point that I dress up well. I am not that brand conscious and don’t even believe in a fashion trend,” she points out. And finally, do you interact with your fans on social networking sites? “Well, I am a social bird, I access Twitter to interact with my fans, while I just use Facebook to play Farmville,” she laughs out. Hey Ridheema, have a shinning future ahead!!!
