I take time to gel with new people - Shivani Surve

Shivani Surve
Shivani Surve who is playing Chhavi Gupta in Sony Entertainment Television’s Anamika (Trishula Productions) is a skeptic when it comes to the idea of supernatural. She nevertheless adds with a laugh that if she sees a ghost in real life like Rano (Annie Gill) did in her current soap, she will lose consciousness just like her reel character had done. We can’t help but ask her as to exactly what attracted her to the role, when she has no belief whatsoever in the supernatural. She promptly replies, “My previous role which was in Star Pravah’s Devyani was that of a bahu. This role is just the opposite.” She informs her that she has a reserved personality and is not bubbly like Chhavi. “I take time to gel with new people. I am getting to know my co-stars Mudit Nayar and Annie Gill- both seem to be very sweet people.” We interrogate her as to whether Anamika will go on to explore re-marriage. After a judicious pause she says, “Probably yes.” Has Sony TV thought of having a show on second marriage as the same theme has been rocking on their rival channels Colors and Zee TV? After another pause, she replies, “Yes.” When this pretty actress isn’t acting, she is horse riding, driving and painting. “I have been learning how to ride a horse for the last two years. I like driving all kinds of cars. I drive quite fast. I can travel from Mumbai to Pune in two hours’ time. My dad doesn’t allow me to drive to work though as I drive at a high speed. I have been drawing cartoons from six years of age. I love drawing the cartoon of Baby Hanuman the most and sceneries.” What are her future plans? “I wish to complete my graduation and act in a film.” We wish Shivani all the best in her life and career.
