Talented young actress Shreema Bhattacherjee, who is portraying the role of Ganga in Colors Bangla’s Naagleela (Shree Venkatesh Films), shared that she always had an aim of becoming a news anchor.

At a Press meet she said to Tellychakkar.com, “I wanted to be a news reader, when I was younger. Actually, I still desire to be one, but lets see where destiny takes me. I always loved acting but journalism was my passion.”

She added, “I used to practice both acting and news reading by standing in front of the mirror. My mom would often tease me by asking me to decide what I wanted to become. I thought of trying my luck in acting after completing my studies. But when I received such an offer I couldn’t say no to it.”

Shreema is pursuing Journalism Honours from Bagbazar Women's College. When quizzed about how she manages to take out time for both studies and acting, the first year student quipped, “My team is very cooperative. They allow me to attend my important classes.”

The actress shared that her parents are extremely supportive of her career choice. “This is my first serial and my parents are very happy for me. They have always encouraged me to follow my dreams. I also receive immense support from my younger brother. It is he who wakes me up in the morning if I am late for the shooting,” she said with a twinkle in her eyes.

The girl is pretty excited about her costume too.

“The costume of our soap is quite different from the others. We need to don tattoos. Although it takes a lot of time to paint the tattoos on our body, it adds a different flavour to our costume,” she chirped.

Good luck, young lady!!!
