MUMBAI: Sehban Azim has won the hearts of millions of fans with his stint in Tujhse Hai Raabta which airs on Zee TV.

The actor has left no stone unturned and now, we get to see him in a different character altogether. In an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar.com, Sehban spoke about his journey in the show.

Sehban expressed, “I have received love for other characters also but ofcourse Malhar has topped the charts!

Apparently, to start with I was initially scared because Malhar was a simple guy. And though I could connect with the character, there was no spark in him. I was scared about the growth of the character because he is a righteous person. I wondered how much would there be to enact with this character but then as the character grew on me, it grew on the audience as well. Initially, I questioned as to who is Malhar and what is his contribution to the script but as the story weaved, I also personally fell in love with Malhar and I think the same thing has happened with the viewers too. For that matter, the way he tortured Kalyani initially because of betrayal and how eventually he fell in love with her has been wonderful. It is a beautiful experience and now that it has been 2 and a half years, I have started living the character.”

When asked about how he is now seen in a new shade as Shera Chaudhary, Sehban added, “That is a new character and people know that Malhar is dead. I will now have to undo everything which I have played in these 2 and a half years as he is quite the opposite of Malhar.”

For the uninitiated, Tujse Hai Raabta tells the story of Kalyani, who shares a special bond with her stepmother Anupriya who supports her through every trial and tribulation. Their bond becomes stronger when Malhar forcibly enters Kalyani's life and marries her.

So far in the show Shera Chaudhary has Kalyani with him and he plans to sell her at a brothel while Kalyani who is blindfolded is shocked and tensed as to what will happen next.
