MUMBAI: Anupama Solanki, who was last seen in the show Kuch Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Hai, remembers her childhood on the occasion of Children’s Day, which is observed on November 14. She said, “During school day 14, November was very special because it was Children's Day and our school took us outside for some picnics or games every year. It was very exciting.”
Anupama always knew she wanted to be an actor, and it was her only dream and ambition. “When I was a kid, there was no other medium other than radio and television, so I have grown up watching TV and listening to radio, so watching great actors like Srimti Irani, Amna Sharif, Sakshi Tanwar, and many more have definitely inspired my journey into the entertainment industry,” she said.
Coming from an army background, her family was very strict about a few things. She added, “Like I am extremely hardworking, honest, and passionate about my acting, so those values have come from army rules.”
Anupama mentioned that children should pursue their dreams in whichever field they want to, whether it's acting, any creative field, or any other profession. She added, “Sab sari cheezon me acche nahi hote hai, koi kisi cheez me accha hota hai koi kisi cheez me. (People cannot excel in all fields; some are good in one, while others are good at something else), and I think when children pursue the field they are interested in, they definitely excel and succeed in that particular field.”
A childhood lesson that you carry with yourself? “My most learned things from my childhood days are that don’t lie about things because later they will eventually come back to you. ‘What goes around comes around,’” she ended.
