Eagle Films, makers of Jeannie Aur Juju on SAB TV are now planning a new comedy sitcom for Zee TV.  The bi-weekly show, will be inspired from the movie Chamatkaar, wherein the female protagonist’s father who would die an untimely death will return as a friendly ghost, and with the help of the male lead will take revenge and protect his family.  Now, coming to the cast, the makers and channel have certainly roped in big names. Firstly, talented actor Jay Soni will be making a comeback to fiction after one and half years with this show. As always said by Soni in his earlier interviews, he has rightly picked up a male-oriented show as his comeback to fiction.  Jay who began his career with Baa Bahu Aur Baby has done challenging lead roles in Sasural Genda Phool and Sanskaar. Also, he has utilized to the fullest, his capability to draw attention as the host of reality shows such as Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs and the latest, Comedy Superstar.  Getting to the female protagonist, talented and beautiful Payal Rajput who played the lead role in Mahakumbh will get to test waters in the genre of comedy for the first time. She will play the female lead in this Zee TV show.  Versatile actor Tiku Talsania has also been roped in for the show. He will play the loving and caring father of Payal, who will turn into a ghost.  As per reliable sources, “Jay, Payal and Tiku have been finalized. The shoot of the show will start on 30 October. This will be the next big fiction launch on Zee TV, and is scheduled to take a weekend bi-weekly slot.” When contacted, Jay told us, “I am in talks. But there is no confirmation as yet.” Payal confirmed the news saying, “Yes, I have signed up for this show. After Mahakumbh, I am excited to be part of this show.” We could not get through to Tiku Talsania for a confirmation.  Our efforts to reach out to the Producer Rajeev Mehra were in vain. We also tried getting a confirmation from the channel spokesperson, but did not get a revert.  Watch this space for more updates…
