Jayati Bhatia popularly known as Titli in Sindoor is one helluva emotional person in real life. On Gurdeep's last day of shooting for Sindoor the actor cried enormously and with a heavy heart shot for Gurdeep's death scene. But Jayati was taken aback at the attitude of the unit members and co-actors who showed no emotions in spite of having worked together for two years. "I fought with my Viraasat team to let me go for Gurdeep's last day of shoot. When I met her I ended up crying and hugging her as it was her last day. I tend to get possessive about my co-actors and Gurdeep and I are very fond of each other. When Gurdeep entered, I was shocked to see nothing dramatic happening on the sets but I also understand that there are deadlines to meet for people working here," says an astonished Jayati who is extremely excited and happy for the Gurdeep's wedding in December. We asked Gurdeep if she felt emotional or angry at the response from the Sindoor team. "I am happy to leave the show as I will get my much deserved break though I will miss my unit. I am leaving the show as there is nothing more in the role that I could do justice to and my character has lived its life," says Gurdeep. For the uninitiated, Gurdeep's character (Vedika) in Sindoor was loosely based on the Sridevi starrer Sadma. Vedika is mentally balanced and has a phobia of sindoor. The story traced her life as she gets married and goes through the highs and lows. Interestingly, after playing this role, Gurdeep is currentIy looking at tieing the knot with beau Arjun Punj . " I am looking to start my new life soon. Right now marriage is my priority. I am very close to Jayati so she was sad and as far as the unit members is concerned I think the show must go on so they continued with their work," smiles Gurdeep who seems to be glowing with each passing day with her wedding day scheduled on 10 December. The actor plans to take a two month break post marriage and is currently shooting for a hair oil ad and a few more commercials. Here's hoping we get to see many such healthy friendships in the industry which is known to have cut throat competition.
