The animosity between ex-friends Ajay Chaudhary, Mrunal Jain and Nandish Sandhu seems to have taken to a new phase, what with Kapil Nirmal who was supposed to be part of Ajay’s Lucknowi Nawabs moving out of his team, and joining Mrunal and Nandish’s Ahmedabad Express for this season of BCL.
Oh well, for people who have arrived late, Ajay who was earlier the co-owner of Ahmedabad Express along with Nandish and Mrunal for Season 1 of BCL, apparently moved out of their team after buying stakes for a new team, Lucknowi Nawabs. This development actually triggered a cold war between them.
Now, Kapil Nirmal has moved out of Lucknowi Nawabs and joined Ahmedabad Express.
Reason?
A little birdie states, “Kapil who played for Ahmedabad Express in the last season was not called by them this year. Ajay who got to know of this invited Kapil to be part of his newly formed team. And Kapil actually had started preparing for the contest ahead, when a certain development lead to him taking leave of Ajay.”
We hear that Kapil might have been hit by an insecurity factor…
When contacted, Kapil confirmed the development saying, “Yes, I have moved from Lucknowi Nawabs and joined Ahmedabad Express, my old team. But I will not want to comment on anything further.”
We then called Mrunal who told us, “Yes, Kapil has got back to our team. We are very happy having him with us. But I have no idea if Kapil moved out of any other team.”
Hmm interesting comment coming from a team owner!! Guess Mrunal needs to keep a tab on who’s who in the opponent teams.. That will give his team a better chance to plan strategies (wink wink)!!
We later contacted Ajay who caught us unawares with his reply, “Hum nawaabi hai, hum daan dene main vishwaas rakhte hai!!. On a serious note, Kapil was a bit insecure about being part of the playing eleven. Yes, he is a very good player, but I have set up a rule about only the players performing well getting to be in the playing eleven. I do not believe in giving my friends or relatives a chance to play. Kapil came and discussed about his doubt, but I clearly told him that I cannot commit on anything right now. He then decided to move on, and the irony is that he went and joined Ahmedabad Express (laughs). Yes, I am happy that Ahmedabad has finally got a good player; they really needed one as they have a very bad team.” (Can you smell something burning...evil laughter)
Hmm!! This indeed looks like a battle field in the making for these three ‘ex-friends’…
