MUMBAI: Kaveri Priyam is one of the most loved actresses on television and rose to fame with her character of Kuhu in the most successful show Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke. Till today, fans miss watching this character. 

Recently, Kaveri was seen in the show Shakti — Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki where she played the role of Dr Isha, and fans also loved her in this character. 

TellyChakkar got in touch with the actress and asked her what is the one similarity she sees between herself and her characters of Kuhu and Dr Isha. 

To which, she said, "As actors, we play those characters in reference to our personal experiences. We also take examples from our real life with people surrounding us like our family or friends or maybe like Kuhu or Dr. Isha and imbibe them into our character." 

In the end, she said that while playing these roles, they do use real-life instances.

We also asked her what she thinks about social media. Is it a boon or a curse? How does she handle trolls? 

She said that initially, when she was playing Kuhu, she did handle trolls and it was the first time she was facing it and it would depress her at times.

But then, she eventually got used to it and wouldn’t read the hate comments and told herself that though she was playing a negative role, people are loving her performance and that’s why the hatred was thrown at her. Slowly, she got used to it, and now, she knows how to handle it. 

She also said that social media can be good or bad, but it depends on how one uses and deals with it. 

Well, handling trolls can be difficult, but kudos to Kaveri for handling it well.
