MUMBAI: Khatron Ke Khiladi is one of the most loved reality shows on television and has had a successful run of thirteen seasons. The contestants are various celebrities from the world of television, Bollywood, and OTT, who come together and face their fears. The last season was very successful and did wonders when it came to TRPs. It emerged as the number one reality show on television.

Among the confirmed contestants, Abhishek Kumar who was last seen in Bigg Boss 17 will be participating. Tellychakkar got in a candid chat with him on what are his views on being part of the stunt based show.

You have mentioned earlier that you are claustrophobic, will that be a hindrance for you while doing a stunt?

I have been following the show since a while now and have seen many stunts that involve dealing with crocodiles and Lions etc. I have observed that if you keep your calm and do things everything will go well. So as and when the taste happens I will see how to go about it. Speaking of my claustrophobia, a minute back I nearly got locked in the washroom and started to panic a bit but my friend told me to calmly try to open the lock and it worked. So that is the trick I will apply while doing challenging stunts as well.

Now that you are single, are you ready to begin dating again?

With me, I have started focusing more on Me time. I don’t enjoy getting ready to specially meet someone, I don’t have time nor the inclination for that anymore. So if I have to fall in love again it will happen when it happens. As of now I’m spending more time grooming myself and working out.

Now that you know Shalin Bhanot is also in the show and he too is single, what if you and him fall for the same girl?

He will have to back off (laughing). Jokes apart, yes many say that we are alike in many ways but I know that I will back off since he has more experience and maturity than me.

Out of all the contestants, who do you think could be your toughest competitor?

To be honest, be it Krishna Shroff, Nimrit, Shalin, Shilpa, etc. I consider all of them my competitors. All of them seem to be pretty tough. In Bigg Boss it was different as I could see that some were underperformers and I did not even know most of them but here all are quite strong in my opinion.

After being part of two big reality shows like Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi, what is your next project like?

I have shot for something big which you will come to know after KKK concludes. I really cannot talk about it at the moment. I would love to be part of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, hopefully someday, that dream might come true.

Any directors that you wish to work with in future?

There are many but to name a few special ones; I would love to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in a musical, Karan Johar in a romantic film and of course Rohit Shetty in an action film. I really wish to play the role of a lover boy someday.

Lastly, Rohit Shetty is known to be like a ringmaster and gets upset when the contestants don’t perform in KKK, what is your take on it?

I have made up my mind to not give Rohit Shetty sir a chance to get angry at me. Even in Bigg Boss Salman sir was initially annoyed with me but later was happy. But I will make sure that I don’t upset Rohit sir at all.
