A true television phenomenon, the show originally aired on Star Plus at 10:30 pm and swiftly became a cultural landmark, reigning supreme on the TRP charts for a remarkable eight years.

Their on-screen chemistry and the heart-wrenching twists and turns of the narrative carved an everlasting niche in the hearts of viewers.

So powerful was its impact that when Mihir’s character met a tragic end, it sparked a national outpouring of emotion proof of the unparalleled grip the show had on its audience.

Now, after years of speculation and fan longing, Ektaa Kapoor has officially announced that she is reviving the legendary serial.

Speaking to an entertainment portal, Kapoor shared, “I’m remaking the biggest show I’ve ever created. It’s what gave me my identity. I faced a lot of challenges afterward, but that show is still what I’m best known for.”

Interestingly, Kapoor revealed that the show originally concluded prematurely, ending 1600 episodes short of its 2000-episode target due to corporate-level issues.

However, in a move that has sparked further excitement, she said, “The love we received for this show has brought the entire team back together, just to complete those remaining episodes. It deserves a proper ending—it deserves to reach 2000.”

Adding fuel to the buzz, Kapoor teased a major surprise, hinting at the possible return of Smriti Irani, now a prominent political figure and former Union Minister. With a sly smile, Ektaa remarked, “We’re bringing politics into entertainment—or should I say, a politician?”

While the exact format—whether a continuation or a reboot—remains under wraps, the prospect of Tulsi Virani returning to Indian screens has stirred immense curiosity and nostalgia among fans.

As anticipation builds, one thing is clear: the return of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi isn’t just about reviving a beloved soap—it’s about reigniting a golden chapter of Indian television history.
