Leads of Vikram Bhatt's new thriller replaced, Mansi Parekh in

We had earlier reported that Vikram Bhatt has signed Pooja Bose ( Tujh sang preet lagaayi sajana), Aham Sharma ( Chand Ke Paar Chalo ) and veterans like Murli Sharma, Shivani, Lubna Salim and Rasik Dave, for his upcoming thriller on Star Plus . And the latest news from the sets of the show is that the production house has replaced as many as eight actors from the show including Bose, Aham and the second male lead. Even Murli Sharma and Shivani who were roped in to play a couple are no longer a part of it. According to sources, it is India Calling actress Mansi Parekh who has replaced Bose in the yet untitled show. This suspense thriller is stipulated to last 52 episodes. A source informs, “The production house had signed on Pooja as the protagonist and two male leads - Aham Sharma and another guy who is currently seen in toothpaste ad with Lara Dutta. Murli and Shivani were also signed but they all have been replaced now except Lubna and Rasik. Apparently, the production house wasn’t impressed with the leads’ acting. Murli couldn’t do it because of a prior commitment. Pooja had shot a couple of episodes which are now scrapped. Mansi will play the new lead. The actors who are now on-board are Bhanujeet Sudan and Rehman. The latter is currently seen in Balika Vadhu. ” Bose said, “This is purely the channel’s call and they have changed the entire cast of the show.” Murli however sounded clueless about any such show. He said, “I don’t know what you are talking about.” Sharma chose to take a ‘no comment’ stance and so did Parekh. The thriller is set against a Gujarati backdrop and revolves around three families. A murder takes place in one of the families and the protagonist tries to unmask the murderer. It will launch sometime post April. Vikram Bhatt's ASA Productions has earlier produced Shauhrat Nafrat Aur Showbiz for Sony Entertainment Television and is currently co-producing Dance India Dance 2.
