In an exclusive chat with TellyChakkar, Deepika Singh opened up about the journey so far, the overwhelming love from fans, and the emotional rollercoaster of portraying Mangal.

Congratulations on completing 400 episodes! How does it feel to reach such a massive milestone?

Honestly, it feels surreal. Completing 400 episodes is no small feat, and it’s truly a blessing to be part of a show like Mangal Lakshmi. God has been kind, and I’m immensely grateful to COLORS for entrusting me with this role.

The character of Mangal is close to my heart – she represents so many ordinary women who face extraordinary challenges every day. The fact that the audience resonates with her journey means the world to me.

What have been the biggest challenges in portraying Mangal?

Each character brings its own set of challenges. As an actor, one can’t get attached to their real age or past roles. I’ve played a 21-year-old in the past, and now I’m portraying a 36-year-old mother – that transformation requires both emotional and mental agility.

When I first received the script, I was both excited and nervous. But I saw it as an opportunity to grow and stretch myself creatively. You have to constantly brainstorm, evolve, and bring authenticity to every scene.

As Mangal Lakshmi continues to soar in popularity and remains among the top five shows on television, it’s clear that Deepika Singh and the entire team have struck gold.

With emotional depth, compelling performances, and relatable storytelling, the show has cemented its place in viewers' hearts – and it's only getting stronger.

Stay tuned to TellyChakkar for all the latest updates.
