MUMBAI: She might be playing the other woman in her debut TV show Anupamaa produced by Rajan Shahi, but actress Madalsa Sharma says she is loving all the love and hate from the viewers. “In a short span of time, my character Kavya has made me a household name. For an actor, it is the biggest achievement to be known by your character’s name,” she says.
The actress, who is married to Mithun Chakraborty and Yogeeta Bali’s son Mimoh, says her entire family loves watching her on-screen. “Mimoh never used to watch saas-bahu serials earlier, but now he does watch Anupamaa with me. Interestingly, whenever he watches me romance Sudhanshu Pandey, he compliments me for the chemistry, as he too thinks that it is vital to make the reel chemistry look real,” she shares.
While talking about the festivities this Diwali, Madalsa says, “This will be my third Diwali with Mimoh and my in-laws. The festival is all about Lakshmi puja and dinners with friends and family. We don’t burst any crackers because we have many pets at home. And being animal lovers, bursting crackers is the last thing my family will think of doing on Diwali. Also, we don’t want to increase the already high pollution levels in the country. I think people should avoid bursting crackers even if they don’t have pets, as the strays really get frightened due to the noise of crackers.” Rajan Shahi has given her a fantastic break and she is being loved by masses and classes.
