It was only recently that we reported that Saath Nibhaana Saathiya will soon roll out a rebooted version on Star Bharat. 

According to the news received, the background of the show will remain the same. The show will bring back Ahem Modi, Gopi and Rashi in the show but this time the narrative will be entire different. According to sources, Mohammad Nazim has been locked to play the role of Ahem, however, this time, he will be introduced as Saksham. According to speculation, the character name of Rashi as Gopi’s step sister will now be called Ashi. 

Rucha Hasabnis played the role of Rashi ben, however she is not a part of the entertainment fraternity anymore after she tied the knot with a builder by profession, Rahul Jagdale. Now, Hemmanshi Ruparel will play the role. 

As we earlier reported, the show will have a Gujarati backdrop however, the narrative will be entirely different. According to our sources, Jyoti Mukherjee will play the central character Gopi’s stepmother while Ashish Bhatt will play the role of the step-father. Maharishi Dave will play the stepbrother of Gopi. 

Another name joining the cast is Nitin Vakharia, who is renowned for his work in the TV show Baa Bahu Aur Baby and has been active as an actor for more than two decades. He will play the central character, Saksham’s father. 

Jyoti has earlier been seeing in shows such as Agni Vayu, Prratima and Manzilein Apani Apani, while Ashish is an actor and assistant director known Aashiqui 2, Out of Time and Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. 

While it was earlier reported that Saath Nibhaana Saathiya will have a prequel, the show is headed for a reboot on Star Bharat and it is not a prequel. Well, this has definitely raised our excitement level as we can't wait to see what's in store for us. Saath Nibhana Saathiya's first season which aired on Star Plus had a successful run for 7 years.
