A mother’s sacrifice should never go in vain : Akshay Mhatre

MUMBAI: One might say that motherhood and sacrifice are synonymous. Mothers have an uncanny ability to shield us from pain with her undying love while taking the hits without any visible dents to her armour. She has an ability to bring light where there was darkness, pleasure where there was pain, and joy where there were tear.

Sony Television’s popular show Indiawaali Maa  is also all about celebrating our kind and selfless mothers. Renowned actress Suchita Trivedi essays the role of Kaku, a devoted mother driven by compassion, faith, and a heart full of love for her son ‘Rohan’.
Actor Akshay Mhatre who plays the role of ‘Rohan’ believes that the show has been nothing short of a revelation for him. According to him, the show has reiterated the values of a mother’s selfless sacrifice and unconditional love all the more.

Sharing his thoughts with us, Akshay Mhatre said, “I don’t think we realise what our mothers give up in order for us to flourish. More often than not, we tend to take her
warmth, love, care, cheers and laughter for granted. However, now I understand a mother’s dilemma and the strength in a mother's sacrifice. Which is why, I am filled with a new zeal and determination to not let my mother’s sacrifices go in vain and keep making her proud every single day.”

Watch Indiawaali Maa, Mon to Fri at 8:30 PM only on Sony Entertainment Television.
