Mrignayni and Purushdutt to die in Chandragupta Maurya

A big twist awaits the viewers of Imagine’s Chandragupta Maurya in the upcoming episodes. Pivotal characters Mrignayani (Yashashree Masurkar) and Purushdutt (Romanch Mehta) are all set breathe their last in the show. In the show, Chandragupta (Ashish Sharma) has finally managed to reach the place where Chanakya (Manish Wadhwa) has been imprisoned. However, a source from the sets informed us that in the upcoming episodes Mrignayni will commit suicide and Purushdutt will also breathe his last in an attempt to save Chanakya. But at the end, Chandragupta will finally manage to rescue Chanakya from Dhanananda’s clutches. Yashashree Masurkar who portrays the role of princess Mrignayani has already shot the death sequence. She told Tellychakkar that Mrignayani’s character was supposed to be an important and long one initially, but it was cut short and now she is making an exit. “It’s just that as an actor I felt my character did not have much to do in a male-dominated show. Hence, I preferred to walk out,” informed Yashashree. We also talked to Romanch but he preferred to keep mum on the development. Furthermore, the source told us that the story which initially deviated from its main plot will now re-focus on Chandragupta, Chanakya and Dhanananda.
