Flynn Remedios, who is Vinod’s publicist and is with him at this crucial stage, shared what exactly occurred. Vinod was enrooting to Gateway of India from Surat for which he had to take a highway. However, he took the link road.
Flynn shared the ordeal, “He took the link road route instead of the highway. The link road is so bad because of the Metro work with huge potholes. Since he was on the road for last 40 days, he was exhausted. Owning to the digging, the roads have turned really bad. There was a huge pothole, thanks to the Metro work. His bike (wheelchair) hit a pothole. He toppled. He was already weak and fatigued, that is when his bike hit the pothole and toppled over. He completely collapsed.”
Remedios also mentioned that they didn’t wish to bring this topic out. He said, “We didn’t want to speak about it but it’s a fact.”
Flynn is with Thakur constantly when he is on the hospital bed. Talking about his condition, Flynn added, “He will be discharged in two days. He is on ventilator currently. Last night he suffered two heart attacks though minor ones, due to his BP issue. He was given electric shocks to push up his heart. Shocks were given to pump his blood pressure. ECG shows he has irregular heartbeats. His heart was almost on failure so he was given shock to revive.”
