MUMBAI: Actress Aalisha Panwar, who was last seen in Nath - Krishna Aur Gauri Ki Kahani, misses the winter snuggle and wearing sweaters in the season but is enjoying the winters of Mumbai too.
She said, “Mumbai’s winter is more like summer with a cool breeze for company. It’s there, but you have to really look for it. It’s not the cozy, snuggly winter you’d imagine, but it has its own charm—like those perfect, breezy mornings that make you feel fresh and alive.”
“It is just crazy! It feels like Mumbai’s winter got lost somewhere and summer showed up uninvited. It’s a reminder that climate change is real, and we need to take action if we want to bring back the seasons we grew up loving,” she added.
A hot chocolate lover, she misses it the most in the winter season. She said, “ I miss the snow because my hometown is the queen of hills, Shimla, and I grew up watching snow in December. and that is the winter season for me. That is one thing I miss here in Mumbai and I miss sitting around the bonfire with my family during those winter nights, listening to stories from my grandfather. I miss bundling up in cozy sweaters. And don’t get me started on hot chocolate—it hits differently when there’s an actual chill in the air. Mumbai doesn’t have that chill in the air that makes you want to stay in and cuddle. Here, in winter we still switch on our AC.”
Asked how to layer for Mumbai’s mild winter without feeling too hot, she said, “I usually stick to breathable fabrics—I love a light jacket or a chic shrug over a tank top or a cardigan with jeans. It’s practical, and you can always take off a layer if the sun decides to come out.”
Any styling tips? “Stick to versatile pieces! A scarf or a light jacket can instantly make you look winter-ready without overdoing it. Add some ankle boots, and you’re good to go—effortless and perfect for Mumbai’s unpredictable weather,” Aalisha ended.
