MUMBAI:  Punyashlok Ahilyabai is set in the backdrop of the 18th century time period. The actors are required to do extensive research and preparations in order to do justice to the historical characters they portray on-screen.

The show is all set to witness a leap of seven years, it has been updated that Aetasha Sansgiri will be playing the character of Ahilyabai post the leap.

Aetasha has been a prominent name in the Marathi industry, with shows and films like Majhi Mitrachi Girlfriend and Revati from Choti Malkin.

Now, she will be playing the role of Ahilyabai, the promo is indeed mesmerizing and she looks stunning as the grown-up, vigilant Ahilyabai Holkar opposite the dapper Kinshuk Vaidya as Khanderao.
