Akshara (Hina Khan) and Naitik’s (Karan Mehra) love story was set against the backdrop of a Marwadi family and was all about bonding, love, affection, and valuing relationships. People not only loved their acting and chemistry but also the social messages communicated via the ideal daughter-in-law and son.
After Akshara and Naitik’s story ended, Naira and Kartik’s love story came into the limelight: a modern version of how, in today’s age where people choose to live in a nuclear setup, the two, despite being contemporary, respect elders and believe that a family that prays together stays together! Rightly capturing the spirit of the Indian joint family, the show depicts the fun and liveliness of living in one.

Yeh Rishta might be a daily soap, but finally, there is a show that is loved by the masses even if it shows a woman with a voice to protest. Naira is not a ‘bechari’ girl. Just like an educated woman of our generation, she knows how to stand up for herself.
