Is Neelu Vaghela quitting Diya Aur Baati news a PR plug?

Earlier in the day the television fraternity got jitters when the news of Neelu Vaghela quitting Diya Aur Baati Hum flashed in a national daily. After all, her role of Bhabho is one of the pillars of the above Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions show. But when we probed a bit on the matter, we learnt a different story altogether. The article said that Neelu’s failing health could be the reason for the exit, but she is shooting on the sets and her co stars have no clue about the development. “Bhabho quitting is impossible. She is the soul of the show. Aisa kuch hota to humein zaroor pata chalta (we would have come to know if anything of that sort would have happened),” said an actor from the show on grounds of anonymity. Now here’s the real story as per our sources. The show will soon play out a track of Bhabho’s death. Thus, as part of publicity, the PR machinery at the channel, Star Plus, plugged the story in the daily to create buzz. “The article and the show’s plot blend perfectly. It’s a super PR gimmick,” said a pivotal member of the crew. Based on the above info, we buzzed Producer Sumeet, a channel spokesperson and Neelu, but they all chose to remain mum. So is Bhabho really quitting or the news is all about promotions? Well, only time will tell. Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
