MUMBAI: For actress Neha Harsora, getting to watch her show everyday with her family keeps her motivated. The actress, who plays the role of Saillee in Rahul Tewary and Rolling Tales Production's Udne Ki Aasha, says that shooting a daily soap is tough, but rewarding as well.
“I feel like there's a very little part of me that has personal life because of my long work hours. It’s been tiring to manage both my personal and professional life. My routine has been just waking up and coming to shoot and being on set the whole day, then going home, eating food, watching my show, talking to my parents and going to sleep. It’s difficult but, yes, when I get leaves I spend time with my close ones,” she says.
She adds, “Night shoots are quite tiring because that is the only time that I get to sleep. If the shoot is 2 am or 3 am, it gets difficult and my sleep cycle gets disturbed. But we have to manage with naps and with the little sleeps that we get. I tend to get dark circles or puffiness if I don't get sleep. I try to get sleep and also do some skin routine whenever I can, because at the end of the day, your face is what matters and you should look good on TV. Sometime back, I had an allergic reaction and my whole face was swollen. It was a very bad day for me. I had to get injected in between the shoot and my closes were done at the end of the day. So, yes, your health does gets affected due to long working hours.”
However, she makes sure to take care of herself as much as she can, while shooting. “During the summer, I keep our self hydrated with electoral powder, lemonade, glucose powder and a lot of things,” she says.
Talking about why she loves daily soaps, she says, “I enjoy doing daily soaps as it's constant work, and it’s like a routine now. I actually enjoy the whole process, I am not just saying that it’s too tiring but I love when I see myself onscreen everyday. I feel like going back to work and putting in more efforts. I really enjoy watching myself on TV I am eating dinner with family. It’s something that I really want to see for the rest of my life.”
Unlike many, the actress has no problems in being labelled as a TV actor. “I am not among people who dislike being a TV actor as it’s my job and I really enjoy what I do. Be it any medium I am presenting, I am representing myself whatever channel, production house, and so I am happy being labelled,” she says.
She adds, “The best part of being in television or this industry is that people recognize me. Even though people who don't know me they message me, send a lot of well wishes and I really appreciate it. People who don't really know me think so good for me and send so much of blessings. This is like too much for me and when Udne ki Aasha started I was happy when people message me that they watch me as Sailee.”
