MUMBAI: Television actor Vibhu Raghave, cherished for his role in the popular series Nisha Aur Uske Cousins, has sadly passed away following a prolonged and valiant battle with stage four colon cancer.
He was undergoing treatment at Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai, where he breathed his last on the night of 2nd June.
Raghave was first diagnosed with colon cancer in 2022. Over the past few years, he faced the illness with immense bravery and unwavering positivity, sharing glimpses of his journey with fans on social media. His passing has left a deep void in the television fraternity and among his admirers.
Heartfelt tributes have poured in from close friends and colleagues. Actress Addite Malik took to Instagram to post an emotional message, writing:
"The purest soul, a beacon of strength & positivity. His smile could light up any room & his presence alone made everything feel better. He faced life with unmatched grace & left behind a love that will never fade. He will be deeply missed. Always."
Actor Saumya Tandon and several other industry friends also confirmed the heartbreaking news by sharing the details of his funeral on social media. The antim darshan will be held on 3rd June from 12:30 PM, followed by a funeral procession starting at 1 PM from 11, Relief Road, Prakash Nagar, Dnyaneshwar Nagar, Jogeshwari West, Mumbai.
Actress Simple Kaul shared a photograph of Vibhu and wrote: “You will be missed, my dear friend @vibhuzinsta. Love, light and happiness to you.”
Actor Karan Veer Mehra also expressed his grief, posting: “Rest in peace, brother gone Too soon.”
Though Vibhu Raghave was widely recognised in television circles, it was his portrayal in Nisha Aur Uske Cousins that brought him widespread fame and endeared him to viewers across the country.
Despite his illness, he maintained a strong connection with his fans, often offering messages of hope and resilience through his online presence.
Vibhu is survived by his mother, brother, and sister, who stood by him throughout his fight.
