MUMBAI: Television has always been the grandest of mediums and audience's go-to for entertainment. The entertainment landscape has changed a lot over the years.

Channels and shows have gained a personality and a strong sense of audience loyalty. It is very obvious that some actors have become channel favorites, especially after they are visible in one show after another on the same channel.

In order to keep the audiences that they have gained, some TV shows take leap after leap. While leaps might feel like an old trick in the TV show playbook, it is something that TV shows now follow as well.

But it is very difficult to get the right cast and the right stars who will take over because during the course of the show, the audiences fall in love with the actor and whoever takes over has to maintain the legacy of the show as well.

Let's take a look at the actors who have taken over TV shows or who are going to take over after the leaps.

Mughda Chaphekar:

Mughda Chaphekar took over the show Kumkum Bhagya after Sriti Jha decided to leave it. But, they shared the screen for a few months together so that the audience can get used to the character of Prachi.

Shakti Arora:

Shakti Arora stepped in the role of Arjun after Dheeraj Dhoopar decided to leave the show Kundali Bhagya for other projects.

Pranali Rathod:

After Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan decided to bid adieu to the show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Pranali Rathod stepped in the role of their daughter Akshara.

Harshad Chopda:

Harshad Chopda was introduced as the lead after Mohsin and Shivangi’s exit as well. Since then, his chemistry and story with Pranali has been the focal point of the show.

Niti Taylor:

Niti Taylor will be seen in the show Bade Acche Lagte Hai 2 after Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar’s exit from the show in the role of Pihu.

Well, while we have loved the actors that started the shows, we have also fallen in love with the ones who have taken the legacy forward.
