MUMBAI: Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is one of the most loved and longest running television soaps. It stars Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi in lead roles. Reportedly, a new character is set to join the show.
According to the media reports, Gautam Rode’s wife and actress Pankhuri Awasthy will be joining the team. She will be seen playing a pivotal role post leap on the show.
A source told Pinkvilla, “Pankhuri’s character will enter the show post leap. The show will be taking a leap starting 10th of June post which Naira will be shown a single mother. Before that, it will be shown that Naira’s car meets with an accident and while everyone assumes her to be dead post that, she survives the accident and reportedly loses her memory again.”
Speaking about Pankhuri Awasthy, she is best known for her role as Razia Sultana in Razia Sultan and as Draupadi in Suryaputra Karn. She also played the lead role of Amla in Star Plus's show Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka.
